Thurrock Music Services is excited to be offering DJ Workshops for young people in Thurrock. DJ Shy Cookie will be offering the first workshops at the Hassenbrook Academy, Hassenbrook Road, Stanford-Le-Hope, Essex, SS17 0NS on Saturday 21 st January 2023. Shy Cookie is Garage music label/studio owner who produced MOBO award winners DJ Luck and MC Neat!

There will be three, hour-long workshops on the day at 9.30 am, 10.30 am and 11.30 am. Only 5 places are available per workshop and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Thurrock Music Services has organised numerous and various workshops over the years engaging top flight international artist to inspire our young students including artists such as Simone Rebello and Tasmin Little OBE pictured here working with Thurrock students in 2013.

In 2019 Thurrock Music Services worked with the Indonesian Embassy in London to bring Gamelan workshops to Thurrock schools. These have led to performances in the local community and also a visit from the Indonesian minister for Education.
